Hong Kong
Cannons

Our core priority was assembling a balanced unit with complementary skill sets: an elite athletic foundation for court coverage, raw speed to drive a fast-paced game, and high-pressure composure to execute in key moments. We looked for players who bring a healthy mix of tactical aggression, deep doubles instincts, and overall versatility to adapt across different matchups.

Equally important was character. We sought out positive personalities who naturally lift those around them, bring unselfish team spirit to the court, and prioritize collective success over individual highlights.

We are seeking international talent that adds veteran stability, consistent execution, and a strong culture-setting presence. Strategically, we want a blend of controlled aggression and sound strategic play—players who can dictate pace, transition smoothly, and dominate the kitchen. Above all, we are looking for teammates who share our collective drive to build a lasting pickleball legacy in Hong Kong.

We are particularly anticipating our matchup against Vietnam. They possess a strong and talented roster, making this one of the most competitive ties on our schedule. High-caliber opponents bring out our best performance, and the contrast in tactical approaches promises exceptional rallies for our fans. We respect their quality, but the greater the test, the louder the Cannons will fire.

Bringing home the inaugural MLP Asia championship would mark a milestone for our franchise and city. For our players, it validates the commitment built from day one; for the organization, it establishes a benchmark of excellence for years to come. Most of all, this title belongs to Hong Kong. We want to give our fans a team to be proud of while inspiring the next generation of local players. Winning the first MLP Asia title proves that the Hong Kong Cannons haven't just arrived—we're here to lead.
